About Us

Bird Doctor Housecalls is a well-established, full-service, bird and exotic animal veterinary practice, operating in the Sacramento Area since 1980. Until 2004 we operated a clinic in Citrus Heights, CA at Greenback Lane near Auburn Blvd. Since 2004 the hospital is on wheels, as pictured.


We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories. We also work closely with referral specialty practices when special diagnostic procedures are required. The facility includes a well-stocked pharmacy, in-hospital surgery suite, in-house x-ray capabilities,
